Start with admin login access for MCP or API. Keep Base, Backup + Restore, SurgeMail, and CDR Analytics available when event history and managed workflows are needed.

Questions
08 · FAQ- How is my subscriber count measured?
- Billable users are active provisioned BroadWorks users, mailboxes, and service identities active during the billing period. Monthly bills use the 95th-percentile of daily samples; annual prepaid plans lock at signing and re-anchor at the next anniversary.
- What is included?
- Base includes MCP, REST API access, scoped tenant API tokens, service-provider/group token bounds, login-type scope policies, and baseline event history. Backup + Restore, SurgeMail, and CDR Analytics are selectable add-on tiers layered on top of Base.
- Can tenants restrict what API tokens and logins can do?
- Yes. Tenant admins can issue tokens with explicit operation scopes and optional service-provider or group bounds. They can also configure per-BroadWorks-login-type policies so user, group, service-provider, reseller, provisioning, and system sessions each get a separate ceiling.
- Is there a free trial?
- 14 days, full access, no credit card required at signup. At the end of the trial you pick a plan or your account enters read-only mode for 30 days before being deactivated.
- Can I switch between monthly and annual?
- Yes. You can switch billing cadence at the end of your current period. Annual prepaid saves 15% compared with paying monthly for the same block count.
- Can I cancel?
- Monthly plans can be canceled at any time; you remain in service through the end of the billing period you already paid for, and usage is metered by the 95th-percentile billable-user block count at period close. Annual plans commit for 12 months — they auto-renew unless you give written non-renewal notice at least 30 days before the anniversary, and prepaid annual amounts are non-refundable for unused time (see the Terms of Service for the exceptions). Annual customers whose billable-user count grows more than 50% can invoke the growth-review clause to convert to month-to-month at Dialplane's then-current monthly rates with no early-termination penalty.
- What BroadWorks versions are supported?
- All BroadWorks versions are supported. Some commands vary between releases and may need case-by-case handling — when the API returns a 4002 "Unknown request type" the platform falls back to an equivalent registered command automatically. If you hit a gap that isn't covered, open a support ticket and we'll wire it up.
- Is SurgeMail included?
- SurgeMail is a selectable add-on tier. Once enabled for your tenant, admins can save and test the connection, provision mailboxes from BroadWorks Voice Messaging User state, and run backup or sync workflows.
